So far 10 Completed in Whitman Classic Albums.

Just Carl:

No wonder the prices are so high. You keep on pulling the Keys out of availability, making them more scarce & driving the prices up.

Just joking, partially.

May be I should not ask, it's just wishful thinking, but what the heck...

Just Carl, may be if you can liquidate a few of your sets on this forum, what kind of stir/excitement will that make for everyone in here?

Who will "second" my question? If we have enough request, may be Carl will actually do it....

I am not nearly done with the cents. Missing most are the teens a few 20's couple of 30's, 60P sm date, 70S sm date, 79S type II and S mints 70's - 90's.

Most are from circulation. Grading not important as long as the dates are readable is all that matters to me right now. I just want to be able to say "My cent album is complete"

Once the album is completed and up-to-date maybe I'll upgrade. If not I'll still be happy with my accomplishment.

My grandfather had a full set of lincolns from 1909-1958 in a framed display for many years now and promised it to me in his inheritance. Although he died 15 years ago, my grandmother held onto it until just this weekend when she passed away.

Unfortunately, one of my distant young nephews said, 'ooh, that's cool, can I have it' and she gave it away to him last week... :(

I would but it's so much trouble packing it all, going to the post office, filling out forms, and then walking the entire 4 blocks back home right past several bars.
My big problem is as I put a coin in an album and move the one from there to the next one and the next one, etc. eventually the coins from the last album go into 2x2's. Nine of those double row, foot or so long red ones sold at coin shows. Then there are those people that give me more albums free so I just have to fill them. Now well over 100 Whitman Classic Albums. A dealer at most coin shows I go to recently gave me over 40 of them. He said he will bring another box full at the next coin show. If he does, back to the duplicates for filling albums. Just don't know what to do with all this STUFF.
I'm old so soon enough it will all be someone else's problem.

Hey Just Carl is there any way you could take scans of that set mostly just the 1909-1940ish for me. I would LOOOVE to see a set of MS state coins from 1909 up. That is quite an accomplishment! I will PM you with my email. If you would like to of course. Steve

Tried to answer this but forgot to sign in. Old age. Intereseting idea for sure. I really should photo lots of albums for a just in case situation. Most albums in 5 different safe deposit boxes. 5 digital cameras and seldom photo a coin. One scanner sitting here waiting to be hooked up. Second one still in a box for about a year. One printer also waiting to be hooked up. Second one used occationally. Main conputer in for upgrading and not sure why. 2 cars are convertibles and still have tops down waiting for me to put up.
After next coin show and if I get something for one of the Lincoln Cent sets I will bring them home and try photoing them. Good idea.
