Thanks GR58, I'm surprised that you don't have a set of these. It was interesting learning about SBA as well. Also, I think you are in a great position to watch for those type 2's.

I think the 1979 TY II sets come though more often then
the 1981 sets. If I remember right the 1981 TY II proof
sets cost quite a bit more. So much I don't think I
would break that set apart.

I saw a post where Jbuck posted he added the page to one
of his albums. I got a idea in my head to take a blank
Dansco binder and put blank pages in it. Just for some
of these short series.

Could have a page for
SBA's
Shield nickel
Liberty head nickels
Two Cent
Three Cent

Just a thought

Nice set you put together So, the treasury "tokens" in the holes for the type 2 coins are the ones you have in proof sets?

Yes, it seems the 79 type 2's are more common than the 81's. I'm not real concerned about getting either one though. I also don't care for the Dansco albums with only two pages......but ......I like your idea of the blank pages and including just the coins you want.

Nope, the treasury tokens are just hole fillers for the type 2 coins that I am NOT interested in obtaining. ($70 & $160)

Good idea!

For what it is worth, one can also use replacement pages instead of blank pages...

You are welcome. I did not know about these (or if they were even available) when I bought my blank pages. Probably good thing, since I would then have to collect some of the labeled varieties that I decided to skip.

At this point, those Type-II's just aren't worth the money for me, so I like the use of the tokens, @Nickels_Rule! I have a gold-plated SBA that I was thinking of sticking in one of those Type-II slots, but I like your idea better. I'll put that gold-plated nonsense in a blank hole.

Some day I'll finish the Type-II's but for now, I have other coins/notes I want to get.

You and I feel exactly the same about those type 2's CelticKnot! I need some other coins in that price range that aren't clad coins. Thanks for the comment. The 1982 mint medals were an idea of someone else on here...I think it was jbuck. I think they are brass and are well struck. I like the way they look in the album. They may even go from temporary to permanent.
