Quote: Gotta be the ugliest rendition of Miss Liberty that I've seen. Hey, ClassicCoins, this "beauty" on an HT-62 gets my vote for the ugliest Ms. Liberty, hands down! Even though she lacks the Leno jaw, IMHO she wins by more than a nose!

Exocoin---That is an outstanding example of the Loco Foco piece.

This one isn't my token. It's presently up for bids on ebay. My own piece, a VF+ is in the vault, and I've yet to get a pic of it. I wanted to illustrate what I think is the ugliest rendition of Lady Liberty, so I took the easier and quicker path to illustrate my point. Tuff piece, that HT-350. With so few examples known, condition matters far less.

Quote: Even though she lacks the Leno jaw The Jay Leno jaw! Thanks, ExoGuy! After 30 years of collecting coins I finally have a proper name for the Liberty figure on the Morgan dollar. HT-62 is real ugly too!

Excellent examples guy's and dome great information. I started by coming across one at my local Flea market and fell in love with them. The history of the Political times and the Nation, (as mentioned previously), in Hard times tokens keeps me looking for more. I will be collecting these as long as I am able.

Those interest table tokens are incredible regardless of condition. Thanks, now I have to wipe the drool off my keyboard.

I recently added this HT-73 to my collection as an upgrade. It's such a well designed token that I got curious about the maker. Bowers' new book gave no insight in that regard, but my old Rulau book named E. Hulseman. In checking further, I learned that enraver and diesinker, Edward Hulseman, gets the credit. He also designed the 1847 Hawaiian Cent. The 1837 and 1839 NY City directories list him working at 80 Nassau Street.

Thanks, Dar. It may have been cleaned at one time, but the devices are sharp, and there's some attractive toning that my pic couldn't capture.

Cheap new purchase. Nothing like the outstanding example of this token posted earlier in the thread but I still like it.

Nice pick up. I don't own an example of that piece yet myself.

1835 Bucklins Interest Tables All of these are weakly struck.
