Why is it that so many people, that like to break the
rules or break the law many times think they are to
smart to get caught.

In my experience, when they do get caught .. they start
start to lie about it.

For this guy .. would be nice if ebay would just ban him/her.

I hate to sound like this, but it is utterly beyond my comprehension - literally, impossible to believe - that ebay would release IP information to a seller. That's sacrosanct data, and we at Coin Community - along with every other reputable online community of any sort - would only release such information if at the business end of a subpoena.

Dave, maybe all ebay told them was that the IP addresses were the same but not release the actual address? Or did you mean even just saying the IP addresses were the same?

ebay didn't tell me the IP addresses, the rep just said they came from the same locale in Kentucky.
Looks like this guy tried to obscure the fact that he interfered with my auctions by cancelling all (6) bids he placed on my coins......like ebay can't see what he did. Still waiting to see if ebay NARUs all his accounts or not.

What is NARU? He's apparently had all his auctions removed.

NARU is the Acronym meaning Not a registered user. In this case, the seller earlyuscoins99 aka fromidio aka from-idio placed numerous false bids on my ebay listings. When he realized this was exposed, he cancelled all 6 bids he had placed on my items. He also cancelled all his ebay listings after he was exposed for shilling his listings. It will be interesting to see if ebay does anything to this guy or not. His ebay violations are:
1. Creating numerous ebay accounts with the intention of committing fraud.
2. Auction interference.
3. Shill bidding
Not criminal offenses, but, clear violation of ebay rules.

I used to hang out all the time on ebay's community coin forum, back in the mid 2000s or even earlier, before lithium, and before the seller exodus after seller->buyer feedback was removed.. This kind of stuff used to get brought up often, and I'm glad to see this jerk got NARU'd.

If this was his first offense he probably didn't get NARU'd but received an online tutorial about auction interference, along with a suspension for a few weeks.

I know that's that they used to do. (And no, it didn't happen to me!)

It seems kind of obvious that someone alerted him to the topics here, which was, well, the dumbest thing possible to do.

I had ebay's Trust and Safety looking at it and they could have caught him in the act but everything was gone because someone had to be a bigshot.
