I don't think the small rim hit would detract the grade of the coin,,,,the big scratch on the face would I would guess a grade of au50-55 somewhere in that ballpark....still a nice spitting eagle variety VAM

AU details - A nice pick up with the splitting eagle variety. There appears to be too many issues to overcome to get a straight grade with the rim ding, possible cleaning, scratch on cheek and hit to hair above the forehead. I still would send the coin in for economy grading as it is very marketable.

I'm at AU53ish also and seriously doubt they will details grade it. I've seen far worse in problem-free slabs. -They are very forgiving on these older coins, nice score!  Ron

AU53 seems about right, The VAM3 spitting eagle is a cool variety, but not really worth any more as a premium, around half of the 1891-CC Morgans are VAM3. Could go details on the rim dings if the graders are having a bad day, but most likely to grade clean I think.
