A superb collection to match his other outstanding Registry
Sets. The Perth collection has thirteen sets registered with
PCGS.
If you want to view Canadian numismatic fine art at its best
go to the PCGS website and look up the Perth collection of
Registry sets.

The Perth Collection is a person?

Yes, he is. He often joins us at a local pub at coin shows and usually pulls out a PCGS box from his registry set.... At the last Coin Expo, we looked at Edward 5c silver coins from the Perth Collection.... A very nice guy, who enjoys a few pints like the rest of us!!

I do have one coin - my 1938 NFLD 1-cent, that this person said, "I think it is better than mine"... not something heard often from him!!

I drool looking at it....but now I will be depressed when I look at my partial set of newfie large cents in vg. Still amazing, everyone should take the time to admire looking at everycoin, especially the 1873 with what appears that be a split or almost split obverse die.

I see die clashes on that 1873, which is similar mine...

Ya, I assume the clash is what did in that obverse die. Loving your 3(well, I think it is 3) faced queen there spp-ottawa. That is just stunning.

Quick question to the smartest small cent man I have ever met: are thin rim Cuds on KG v small cents rare or desirable? I found a 1929 in a junk bin and am looking for some info. I did not want to start a threa
d for it because I have no pics.

He probably should have a few more of the "finest known" points in that, after comparing notes, both Perth and I are pretty sure the second Oval O in 65RB does not exist. My 64RB is the second finest. Most likely the pop report erroneously reflects an old resubmission of his coin.

...If I remember correctly,..it was the Edward 10c that were brought to the table.. Jaime and I spent a lot of time pouring over each and every one. It's not often that you will get the chance to play with a whole series of 66's +'s and 67's +'s. Very generous of "him" to give us that chance..

What can we say but.."Determination and dedication in assembling the best of the best"..

Nice to also get a chance to see so many of them all here...

Incredible set! The 1913 67Rd with slight toning is a beauty.
I see a similar clash on the third one of his 1880 cents (32295629).
Really nice clash SPP. Thanks for bringing this set to our attention.
