How Would You Display/Store Canadian Dollars?

Has anyone here tried the newest Lighthouse/Leuchtturm line of binders?

My collection was getting a little too large/heavy for the 2x2 holders (held in an old dealership parts binder; only because I couldn't find regular binders strong enough for them):
I have recently started switching over to this series of books - I really like them, but am going to start buying hte books with no dates, because they miss common variants, and then include variants that few will ever own (eg: 1936 'dot' penny has a slot).

Granted that the higher grade coins might be cause for paranoia, but with page dividers, and knowing the tight fit these books are manufactured to, I can't think of a nicer presentation format on the market at this time.

i use the year by year, in the red boxes. I put the uncirculated coins from sets in the Mylar flips with a printed card in the back that has the information for each for the coins to start each year. the nice circulated coins I put in the cardboard holders for that year. all my 1958-1967 are in Mylar flips. the boxes are marked with the year or years they hold. then I put the boxes into a letter tote file holder. they stand on there end. it seems to work and looks not to bad for me. boxes and flips are 1.5 x 1.5

Perhaps.... but a few might come back MS-65

I go through a PCGS representative, Sean Isaacs, of Alliance Coin & Banknotes, in Almonte, ON. I probably send two to three batches of 20 coins, per year. You have to be careful with this, and understand how PCGS grades different from ICCS/CCCS. On mint state large coins like dollars, PCGS is stricter on marks on the devices, and more forgiving in the fields (almost opposite of how ICCS grades). Even with clean fields, not every ICCS MS-65 will cross. Nickel dollars are plagued with weak strikes, which can detract a point from the grade, unless the eye appeal is very strong (which can add a point to the grade).

If you want MS-64 nickel dollars in ICCS or PCGS holders, I have some (those that were sent in, thinking they had a shot at 65, but not quite) that you can borrow for study. Send me a PM.

I finally figured out what to do with my silver dollars so I will share with you. I bought a 50-slab box from Lighthouse and bought 50 Everslab capsules.
This first picture is one page of my Gardmaster album that I am presently using. I really like them and have 10 of them. I just wanted something nicer for my silver dollars (not the nickel ones - they will stay in that album).




This next picture shows my Gardmaster album cover in the background with labels I designed in Word to go with my Everslab capsules.




This is the Lighthouse box that holds 50 slabs.




Here you can see an Eveslab capsule with one of the labels I made.




And lastly, here is the box showing how it takes Everslabs by Lighthouse, NGC slabs and PCGS. I also put an ICCS flip in there as well. I don't know if I will store flips there but it could work. Most of my silver dollars are in my album so I need to finish putting them into the Everslabs.

By time I am done there will be over 40 silver dollars in that box - mostly Everslabs with a couple of NGC/PCGS. Quite a few of my coins that were in ICCS flips were taken out and put in the Gardmaster album so they will go into Everslabs. There are a couple of higher priced ICCS coins that might just stay in their flips - not sure yet.

Some might think it is dumb to go to the time and expense to remove coins from the album that was working fine but I like the idea of being able to easily look at the coins one at a time in hand or compare and arrange as I wish.

Thanks for sharing, I was debating today between 2x2 Quadrum's or the Everslabs, looking at yours, the choice is now clear that I want to go with the Everslab's, no to decide if I to free my ICCS dollars or not.

Does anyone know if CCCS slabs are the same size as PCGS/NGC slabs? I am planning on buying this box in the next week or two for some CCCS slabbed coins that I have.

Since buying my Lighthouse box a couple of months ago I have acquired my first CCCS hard slab. It fits in that box just as nicely as the PCGS or NGC do.
