Reported to ebay (when seen in the other thread) and also ASQ'd the Seller about the coin. No reply from the Seller and the listing is still active. |

This is why I hate ebay now! Supposedly good high ranking members selling fakes. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and maybe since they do post so much they had some new person list this for them,otherwise this should have been taken down long ago! |

The holiday weekend is over and people should be back to work at GSC. I would like to believe they will take this down themselves when they realize it's a fake.

To me the "B" in VDB is as much as a clue to it being a fake as the mintmark is.
And GreatSouthern is noted for offering questionable coins.
A 1909 S-VDB is too pricy a coin to be bought raw.

That is plausible dave. Let's give them the day guys and see what plays out. Enough messages have been sent to them to kill a claim ignorance or "slip through" so this is a good litmus test to show their ethical side or lack there of

Received a reply from GSM this morning acknowledging the coin was not an authentic 09-SVDB. He thanked "me" (should be "US"!) for pointing it out!

I told GSC about this coin days ago. Good to see it pulled. Now I wonder if they'll do the right thing and cut that POS fake in half so it can't ruin any other collectors day.
