If that scratch is on the coin MS61/62 without the scratch ms63...82-84CC'S are the most common. If you want to send it and keep in original holder then go with NGC....PCGS charges more cause they add an extra layer to the holder.

Very hard to grade from the pics, but I think it's not worth the grading fee.

A lot does depend on the status of that mark running from 5:00 on the obverse.

ms62 imo. The front has bad eye appeal.

Nice reverse. Probably MS64. Obverse 62+/63. Don't think its worth slabbing. Probably would get a 63

Thank you all for spending the time to look at this coin! I am so thrilled to be on here and have so many people with a common interest in coins. I was excited to put this on here and I picked it up at what I believe to be a steal. I got it for a hundred bucks! Thanks again for the feedback and advice.

For $100, you definitely got a steal.

Great buy for a coin still in the GSA holder.

The coin looks MS 62 if the scratch is on the coin MS Details. I would send the coin into ANACS when they run their next free two submissions, and the GSA coins graded by ANACS hold the value very well. If the coin straight grades, you made an excellent buy if it details grades you paid fair market price.

You did very well buying that coin for $100.
I would pay that with out thinking about.
If that seller has more, you might want to see if you can get them.

I decided to add one more photo to solidify that the large scratch on the obverse is only on the slab. You can see in this photo with flash that the scratch continues above the black insert. There are two scratches on the coin where her cheek and neck meet. But the long scratch is not on the coin itself. Also the pictures don't do the toning on the obverse justice. It is starting to show very nice blues and pinks. And the reverse is beginning to tone as well.

So knowing that the GSA case is cracked anyway, does that change any answers.
If this is a one off, I wouldn't submit. Not many coins in my collection I would submit as a one off.
If you are thinking about joining PCGS or NGC, I'd throw this in on an order in a heartbeat.
Would slabbing the coin impact the toning going forward?
Nice score at $100.

63. Given the large scratch on a primary focal area on the GSA case and the ugly toning, there is some potential upside in cracking this coin out and dipping it.
