Let acetone and water be your friends. I am envious.

Thought I'd share my progress so far. Upper half of this picture is indian head pennies, lower half wheat pennies. I now have at least one penny for each year so that's kinda cool. Lower right is the unreadable pile, I'll rinse those in water later to see if I can get a date on them. Hope you all enjoy the pictures!

Here I have Shield nickels, Buffalo nickels, a 1946 Canadian nickel, and an 1860's 2 cent coin with a hole drilled in it.

In this picture you can see I have found 2 1909 VDB pennies one in beautiful shape, sadly no s mark :(

The Trade dollar and locket are one and the same, correct? Quite cool and probably worth a bit more than an ordinary 1877 TD. Is it a picture of a relative?

Man o man if only I could come across a score like that. Do you know how many Rpm's and double dies you probably have.

I have absolutely no idea lol. Right now I'm simply sorting and planned to look over each single year for these types of things one at a time. I'm just afraid I'll miss something like that in the process.

Wow am I jealous! Out of the 4 months I've been collecting, I've found about 25-30 wheats. And you just scored thousands! Good job man!

Good going. this thread should entice more collectors to get out there and do some coin detecting themselves. I did it my younger days, and had a lot of fun. picked it up again last year ,but haven't been out there much.
