Many stores have larger desks you know. Then too there is bookcases too. I also suggest you look into the newer Whitman Album for those Halves. All now go into one Album. Those Mercury dimes just sitting there is a waste of space so send to me and you'll have more room. AND if you look carefully, you would notice that pen taking up lots of room.

The halves definitely need to get into a new album. The one they are in have the left in the attic for 50 year smell to them. It's a complete set though every date and mint mark. Got it for a good price and am still on the fence with do I keep it or flip it? The Mercury dimes in the front are 1921 and the little pile in the back are 1945 looking for full bands. I have more rolls of 45's to go through when I get some more time.

I wish I knew what to look for... I have to admit ignorance when it comes to American varieties. I have been growing increasingly interested at the thought of some nice old American coinage though since it seems to be the one thing missing from my collections.
I would be interested in seeing the contents of your safe though... is it all for sale or will you find yourself building up your personal collection?

No one really wants those old Dimes. And if you do find a 45 with FSB, I'll take it off your hands so you will have more room.

I would love to keep everything, but in all reality everything is for sale. For the right price that is. I have been thinking of narrowing down my collection and focusing on just a few sets, so the items that fall into those areas it would be harder to let go of. I'm a sucker for a deal though so I'm always picking things up. I just had a friend call and he has 20 more large cents and 4 notes he wants to liquidate cheaply. It would be an all or nothing deal and 3 of the 4 notes would be like the 7th or 8th copy I would have. The one I want isn't in the condition I want, but it would be a hole filler for now. I'm very tempted to just jump on it. He's sitting on a MS63 1914 D LWC that I want though. If he would be willing to toss that in I'd buy everything and add the notes to the duplicate box without hesitation.

Well I have every confidence you won't be able to say no... I which case I look forwards to seeing them. Maybe if there are a couple of large cents there with good eye appeal and cheap price tags I might ask you for a few... but I need to exercise caution at the moment - and you of all people know how hard that can be.

I actually found a sealed Littleton walker album stuffed in the back of my closet, So after a quick dip the coins will be in a much nicer album. I also have most of the later date coins 30's-40's in MS so I may just keep the set after all and upgrade the lower grade stuff as time goes on.
