Without seeing the reverse, I'd say it was extra fine (EF), but fairly common. A dealer would give you Two Cents and sell it by the pound. If that penny were 30 years older and in that condition, you'd be talking about serious money. So it really depends on the date AND the condition. Selling them will involve organizing them so that they are in a coherent state that can be communicated to potential buyers. The best and scarcest lots deserve separate listings, and the remainder could go as a big lot.

WOW, that's a trunk full of Lincolns? Man, where do you live? LOL I'd love to go through everyone of them! Give us some pics of older coins, let's see how they look.

I'm a coin addict named, Jim...

1. I admit I am powerless over varieties and errors and that searching for them makes my life unmanageable.

2. I have come to believe that a coin better than the one I have is out there and can restore me to sanity.

3. I am making the decision today to turn my will and my life over to the care of my microscope as I look through it.

4. I made a searching and fearless inventory of my coins (see number 2).

5. I'm writing this

6. I became entirely willing to have other collectors improve my collection

7. I humbly asked them to sell me coins short.

8. I made a list of all coins I do not have and became willing to not purchase them all today

9. I made direct purchases of coins except when to do so would injure my ability to pay my bills (yeah right).

10. I continued to take coin inventory and...(see #2).

11. I sought through observation and research to improve my collection, seeking only grades above Fine and the power to purchase them.

12. Having acquired a coin I want, I tried to get more.

[OO!]

If it's allowable and do-able to ask for actual selling assistance from members on this forum, do so. Because you WILL TAKE A BATH from a dealer at about Two Cents per coin...maybe three....baths either way, in my opinion.

It's simple to take a bath and be shed of the coins. If you want to put some time and effort into it, you'll get double what a dealer would give you. On ebay, I get about &1.50 - $2.00/roll for modern Wheat cents. There are modern (1934 - 1958) and older Wheat cents (1909 - 1933). Modern Wheats, after my ebay expenses, reap me less than the older wheats, for which I've got up to four dollars a roll.

Another suggestion is to separate the rolls Older/Modern. Several times now, I've put 10 rolls of older Wheats on ebay and average 33 dollars for each lot, minus ebay expenses.

Have you seen the price for a pure copper ingot on ebay?!
I wouldn't mind knowing where to buy some of those for a bit over spot.
Perhaps I will make that a new topic.
