No. They're darn near impossible to photograph.

I have only seen them on the ASE as well.

We had one here for a minute and I snapped one off quick.... not great... but not hateful. They're tough indeed.

As with most things, the US Mint is copying the success and innovation of other countries...Coin World has an online article about it, just google 'reverse proof' it's about the third one in the list.

I'd really like to try one of those ASE's some time. This is the only reverse Proof I have, and I don't at all like how the reverse is aging in the mint container:

Do-You-Like-Reverse-Proofs?

Do-You-Like-Reverse-Proofs?

Not even my usual rules for Proofs work well with these.

They came out with a gold reverse proof the same year as the silver and they released a platinum reverse proof at the end of last year in the Platinum 10th Anniversary Set.

Wow Super, in your picture you really notice the family resemblance.

(Between HRM and the 'roos I mean. The ears and the crown just cracked me up.)

I think they are pretty cool. Not only are they beautiful but they are something new. I think it is the newness that is the clincher for me. I am always drawn to anything that looks different or unique. I guess this explains why I love toned coins as well. maybe someday I will run across a wonderfully toned reverse proof!

I like the reverse proof look but everyone I see for sale is way out of my price range

For me it's a no. I am tired of the Mint coming up with a constant flow of new items for the amatuer that someday will not be worth anything.

For all of those that say they cannot afford the US Mint's offerings of reverse proofs, may I suggest you go to the darkside and sample some of the reverse proofs from world mints? The easiest that come to mind are the Aussie Roo that SuperDave posted and the British Britannia but others are out there as well and for much less money than the limited US offerings.

I happen to find them very unattractive.

And the easiest world reverse proof is the Canada maple leaf. All of the "business strikes" are done in reverse proof format. So thats almost 20 years worth of reverse proofs.
