Sounds like we need you to start another poll jbuck to see if we should submit the design collectively from members of CCF?

Just goes to show you that not all committees are dysfunctional. I think we've produced something phenomenal here.

Quote: I like a 50th anniversary of the first test of a laser for 2010 I can appreciate that idea! Charles H. Townes is a local hero where I live. Although he is best known for the maser, his work helped lasers to become reality!

Quote: I like a 50th anniversary of the first test of a laser for 2010 I think we'd more likely see that as a "Bronze Medal" than in a Silver Dollar form though, sadly....

The Bald Eagle $5 Gold Coin is limited to a total of 100,000 coins (across all product options), the Bald Eagle Silver Dollar Coin is limited to a total of 500,000 coins (across all product options), and the Bald Eagle Clad Half-Dollar Coin is limited to a total of 750,000 coins (across all options).
These are the only three Commemorative coins I'm aware of so far for this year. The "Set" is sold out, but the individuals are still for sale I believe.

2016 "1916 100th Anniversary Commemorative" Dime/ Quarter/ Half Dollar Set1916: Amazing new designs for the dime, quarter and half dollar! Also, the last time that all three were changed at the same time. SO, my idea is: 2016-dated Mercury dime, Standing Liberty Type 1 Quarter and Walking Liberty Half-Dollar, all in 90% silver, sold as Uncirculated Sets and Proof Sets. Also, the circulating 2016 Dime becomes a Mercury dime, for the 2016 year only! After 69 Years of FDR, it's time for a break!

2009-S "V.D.B." Wheat Ear Penny, 95% Copper ProofMintage limited to 484,000 (of course) THAT would be a "can't miss" coin!

I like both of those ideas, especially the 2016 set.
