Old copper is hard. Really hard. There is a reason why these are some of the last holes being filled in my 7070.

NumisMedia lists the 1807 Comet Variety at $110 for G4 and $210 for VG8. For the last couple of years that I have been actively looking to fill these holes, every thing that I found below $100 was severely corroded, bent, holed, worn, or otherwise flat-out unappealing. The ones I had been finding were well north of $200.

I found this one at the fall coin show with $139 written on the 2x2. This price was is in the range that I finally convinced myself that I had to spend. It was also the first one I have found that had the overall look I desired. This dealer also had the 1814 Large cent you will see in Season 56. When I inquired to buy them both he gave me a discounted price that felt right. The percentage difference between what he had written on the 2x2s and what I paid was applied to each coin, which is how I came up with the odd looking $109.61 price.

Remember this stuff when you guess in round ten for next season.

Oh well, 48th place is better than nothing, I guess.
Time to update the all-time table with my newly-acquired 20 points!

Thanks for the effort of continuing to host the game for such a long time.

Thanks Jbuck, there is a good picture in the Red Book. I suspected that your coin was a "Comet" variety but graded it lower thus my lower guess..
