what'd be a good offer?

$250-$275 would be a decent price.

Yeah I'm not sure on a price but certainly much lower than they are asking. I was thinking more like $200-225 but I don't know if they'd go that low or not but might be worth a shot. I think 31-S is a semi key?

31S is a key date.

What should I do with this 1935 S? Should I crack it out and put it in my Dansco, or leave it separate? I just don't know.

I have never had the heart to crack any of my slabs yet. I figure if I ever do then there is no going back. Keep it in the slab until you are sure of what you want to do with the coin.

I cracked open every coin I bought. I am not going to enjoy the slabs.

Buy another one that isn't slabbed and have 2 sets.

If you want it for your Dansco then by all means crack it out.

It would just not be the same.

Of course, I collect lower grade coins so the only slabs I will be cracking are key dates (where the slab was for authentication, not preservation).

You paid extra to get the coin in a slab so that's where I'd keep it. You're going to lower the value if you crack the slab. Just my opinion..

That is a great looking coin.

In my opinion if the value is less than 50 bucks no problem cracking, 50-100 I would give it some thought, >100 Almost no chance.

Based on the Numismedia value and PCGS pop figures I would not hesitate to crack this one.

$40 good price, especially if you needed coin but with those pictures hard to say if you got excellent deal until coin is in hand!
