Ok, time to give a big hint. It's a classic and only one guess has the right year but managed to miss the series.

And we have a winner! It is in fact a half (like the prizes and usage of half in clue) Seated (like at your computer) and I like 1859! Send me your address and I'll get your jinglers out tomorrow! Thanks everybody for playing along.

There are five coins in the seated liberty series, and now I only need the dollar!

I'd have never guessed this one without the great clues given. The reason for my previous guess of an 1809 Capped Bust dime was the clue about being seated or standing using a phone which made me think maybe that clue was directed at the use of a pay phone and pay phone calls cost a dime for years and the composition of the coin was not gold or copper. The clue that said it wasn't copper or gold left silver as the likely composition and the prize being a half dollar and the clue pointing to the original post made me think the coin was probably a half dollar. The clue that only one person had guessed the correct year told me the year was likely 1859 although 2 people had guessed that year, but one of those guesses was only 4 minutes prior to the clue so the original poster probably hadn't refreshed the page since the second guess was made.

Well, I sat and debated this morning between the 1859 and 1859-O. I chose the 1859-O as being more likely because of a higher mintage. The 1859 mintage was 747,200 and the 1859-O mintage was 2,834,000.

In any case, congratulations RCook!!!

Susuman, I know what you meant but your guess of an 1859-o seated liberty half could have been a Half Dime! That was going to be my next guess but I woke up too late... and wrong anyway.

I received the halves today, nice looking set. Thanks again for the contest, the good hints, and the coins/capsules.
