Just thought about this....
The dealer will buy from The Royal Mint as well, so I expect, the margin on each coin could be even CAD 10-20 per coin!
So isn't smarter to buy from RM?

Another aspect:
The RM distributes the coins in the special capsules or tubes (while not sure that coins in tubes are encapsulated).
So for sure, dealer will buy tube and will sell coins from the tube, possibly without any capsule.

So at bottom line, buying from dealer, we will pay much more (and this actually just a bullion coin) and without capsule.

hey Silveroid!

Yea, I think it might be cheaper for all of us to buy direct from The Royal Mint.

I noticed a few dealers had pre-orders on the 1 oz bullion piece and it was like wayyyyy more than APMEX...

but I am guessing,, since APMEX is usually expensive, that you might save a few by going mint direct.

I havent had any time to compare prices but I am leaning buying from the Mint and skipping the dealers. Then, I will keep the packaging and it will be direct from the UK!

If someone does order a silver one from The Royal Mint, I would be curious as to the price. In the UK, we get charged a 20% value added tax on top of the price listed. Shipping was free for me.

@Silverbug, I c but they don't come in capsules. If you go to the coinshoppe he has them and he has the ones with capsules. You can buy as many as you want and they all come in capsules. Right now as we speak there $67.52C for ten of them.

@Silverbug I just got a email from the coinshoppe and it seems he wont be getting these in capsules.

Here's the email below.. I'm so disappointed

Hi,
We are contacting you today with some unfortunate news. The Royal Mint contacted us yesterday, that they have decided they would not be sending these coins in individual capsules as they had initially promised us. They have decided that they will be exclusive in selling these coins in capsules to the retail market, and dealers will receive them in monster boxes, and in tubes.

We do not have access to capsules and unfortunately wont be shipping these in capsules, but will ship orders of 10 in mint tubes, and individual orders in plastic flips like we do with other bullion coins without capsules.

Additionally, we will not be able to provide any discounts as the mint is not extending us any discount, and also we are the lowest price on these on the market at the moment, and working on a very tight margin.

If this is going to be a problem, please let us know right away as we are willing to cancel orders with no loss to you with a 100% money back, and if you want a tube and need to increase your order, please contact us.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, but this is out of our hands and the mint's decision.

Regards,

thanks Silverfox2010, I got the email too. seems the only way to get the coin with capsule is ordering from royalmint direcetly(out of stock right now). looks like you can ask for a free empty tube which is not very useful:)

@silverbug I was just checking The Royal Mint bullion and would like to order directly from them but dang! they want your passport#? Someone on youtube was also saying they want your social# as well? Not sure what to do here.
I know there's been a few people on other forums complaining about the coins they've been receiving in tubes have damage on the queens face. Grrrrrrrrr!

First time I ordered anything from the coin Shoppe and it is the queens beast coin along with another coin....I heard good things about the business,so I'm going to keep my order....crap happens and that is life.....Figured I got a few empty air tights kicking around that fit the 2oz privateer rounds,so I'm somehow going to Magiver one of them with a foam ring to make my queen beast coin capsule.....we will see how it turns out....lol
