Awesome set! How did you acquire the 1950- D nickel? I suspect you bought it?

Nice start, collect what you can afford. You have to start somewhere just like everybody else.

Congrats.

Keep checking your change for upgrades.

I am still looking for my wild 1950D for street cred.

OGP - to CCF! Great job! I just finished my 8113 last weekend so I know exactly how much fun it is to complete a set. I actually started my Jefferson nickel set as a kid, and didn't get back to it for many, many years. This is definitely a WEIGHTY collection, and mine includes the second volume (because of the Proofs).

I was able to get a complete (60 - present) set of proofs on ebay for a great price, so that helped. I've decided that I want all of the War Nickels in BU. I only need The 43-P and S, and the 1945-D to complete that goal. I recently found the 1943/42 over date on ebay, and bought it at bid for less than $15. From this point I'll just be looking for upgrades, and perhaps errors. If you need any help let me know. Best regards, Jack

Nice set. I, too, just finished my Jefferson with proof dansco a couple weeks ago. I posted pics of it but I'm too lazy to go look for it now (jbuck ). Now I'm slowly looking for upgrades, and I think you should too, it's really fun!

Nice set though.

Thank you for all the comments, I appreciate it. I do have a bunch of Jefferson proofs but no album to put them in yet. I will post more pictures soon of other goodies in my collection. I'm all over the place...Ancient coins, European, U.S.(old and new)

jack jeckel

I have 2 1950D's. One I bought on ebay and the other I have no clue where I got it. LOL I probably got it in one of the 20 rolls I got at the bank. :)
