For everyone who says they wished they had saved a roll of Ikes, here you go. I found this roll at one of my local banks.

It says "patented May 31,1921". I found them in a remote rural town in 2008.

Apparently there were also metal "wrappers" back in the early part of the 20th century. I haven't seen one -- anyone else got any info on those ones? Or which bank/mint put them out?

Here's a couple of paper rolls I'll be opening up soon. They're such pretty rolls, and Susan B.A. is such a pretty lady, I really wish I had X-ray vision so I could leave the rolls intact. Her face is a little scuffed up on the first coin in one of the rolls, hoping she's gorgeous on all the others.

I remember some of those one-size-fits-all wrappers. If you did not roll the coins snugly the wrong denomination would show in the window.
