dohcollector@, thanks for the reply, but the coin you sent is 250 kurush. The one I am asking about is not 250 because the value at the bottom says "0.." which means its 500 kurush as mentioned by Petrus. I would really like to know the value of this coin

Here's the NGC catalogue page for this coin. As you can see, there were over 40,000 of them minted in 1293//31. Unfortunately, having the loop soldered onto it destroys any value it might have had to a coin collector, so its value is going to be purely the bullion value.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

Thanks for the info Sap. I think that the ring can be removed with a very little damage to the coin. Do you think that this coin really lost its collector value even after the ring is desoldered properly?
Thanks

If it was just the loop alone, you could probably salvage some collector value with a neat removal. But the coin is heavily cleaned/buffed as well, possibly from being worn and rubbing against clothing. Not much you can do about it as far as collector value is concerned now unfortunately

I would also like to know if the condition of the below coin has any collectors value aswell. It is far smaller than the previous coin but it looks like it is in better condition. Thanks for suggestions.

Hi Guys,
Do you have any idea how much is the last coin which I posted worth? It seems its From Mohamed v 1327 year 3, but cannot find it, maybe its not that coin.
Thanks

I would take that second item to an expert who can verify it. It seems not to be a coin, as it doesn't have a denomination. It seems to be a pure bullion round, the kind you literally can buy by the dozen on any bazaar in the Middle East. I have seen many of those during my trips there, but I never bought one, as I'm too afraid that it turns out to be fake. And then try to go back to a bazaar somewhere in Erbil and explain in your best Arab that you have been fooled for $1000 or so and that you want your money back...
Anyway, quite often Dubai and Istanbul are mentioned as production sites and almost all admit that these are modern replicas. All sellers also try to convince me that it's .999 gold.
Anyway, most of those rounds are inspired by Turkish / Ottoman designs. Some have a modern mintmark, but all lack a denomination. All also have a date on them. In this case 1327, I believe, which roughly corresponds to 1940 in Western years.

I'm confused. Going back to the original (500 kurush) coin, the first digit of the regnal year doesn't look like a 3 to me.
