Unsure about my best find. I've find a lot of interesting stuff in junk bins over my life, so it's not simple to get a definitive answer. Anyway, I'll go with the 1885 Umberto I 2 lire that I bought for 9 euros from a dealer's junk silver box. Not in the best shape (VF at best) but still a 150+ euros coin (IMHO).

Pretty sure I mentioned this in another thread, but found a worn yet readable (probably AG grade) 1895 S Morgan dollar in the junk bin. Paid spot for it ($12 at the time) and sold it for $70. Too bad it wasn't better grade :D

I've spent a lot of time in the junk bin, so I've rescued many good coins. This is one of them.

Found this in a dealer's random world coin box today -- an 1807 large cent. Only in AG grade and looks like someone tried to clean it at some point, but the Red Book value is $30+ and I got it for 12.5 cents (8 world coins for $1) so I ain't complaining.

i found an 1864 L for $1, had it graded NGC AU details.
Sold it for about $100 (not on ebay)
also found an 1851 Swiss 1/2 franc for $1. Turns out it is a better year and sold for $37 on ebay.

Found a nice slider AU 1949-S half in my dealer's "junk" Franklin bin... sold it for $25 not too long ago. They've been very good to me over the years!
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!
