I am the new owner of this,
It is simply fantastic. Haven't seen such a cameo on a GoeV before!
It has mirror like fields too which suggests it might actually be SP?
It got a 60 grade and I definitely agree, plenty of scuffing inside the mirror fields.
I'm thinking on re-subbing it. This coin sure has a beautiful cameo or Heavy Cameo even.

Can we see pics? That's really exciting. I'd love to see a King George V cameo/hc

So here it is! I tried hard to make sure light did not manipulate the scale of the cameo. The Obverse gleams under any light. The photo below shows the cameo under limited lighting.

This photo shows the reverse under a regular fluorescent light.

The fields are pretty scuffed up but they show so much depth to them. It does have mirrored fields but it's hard to get a good picture to show it. I borrowed my daught Pickachu button and put it up close to the coin so you can see the reflection.

Cameo-KGV-Dime-On-Ebay......

That last photo doesn't do much justice to the depth of the fields but it does show that the fields are mirrored.

I paid almost retail on this coin ( and as a dealer, that's usually a no-no) but I couldn't be happier. The cameo on it is very impressive. This is going in my collection for the time being.

It's going back to ICCS because I really want to see Cameo or HC in the comment. But does anyone think that this will get SP60?

Doesn't look like a Specimen from here, but what a nice early strike. Cameo and somewhat prooflike. Decent 60 . Are there the typical patchy hairlines associated with the grade . Another 1931 ten cents On ebay That is ours 201636609506

Beauty coin XWL!

Let us know if you resubmit it to ICCS and what they say.

Most definitely not a specimen strike, looks like a collar clash on the obverse rim.

Thanks for letting me know it's only MS and not SP! I will definitely be re-subbing it. It will likely get the same grade but I'm just wanting the comment line to say Cameo in it.

If I were you, and knowing how ICCS grades cameo coins, I would insist on "Heavy Cameo" when you resubmit it...

Wait so... Do I have to specify cameo ( or Heavy Cameo) on the submission form? I figured that was something they saw and was obvious enough that I didn't have to write it down.

You can specify whatever you wish. Whatever they put there is another thing.
I have several Cameo / Heavy Cameo George VI Prooflike Silver dollars from 1950 through 1952 , not one has ever had CAMEO put on the holder.

In my experience, ICCS won't cameo it if only one side shows a cameo. I think you'll end up with it coming back with MS-60 no cameo designation.

I have a collection of cameo nickels with just the cameo on one side. All certified by ICCS as cameo. So they do certify them, it just needs a certain degree of cameo. I would say hands down you will get 'cameo' 'heavy cameo' is a definite possibility!
