I Think I've Got An 1944 D Over S RPM, Can Anybody Confirm, Please?

Here are the two for this year:

It is not a match for location of the mint mark. So it is not that die number:

also I might have, just might have found a better example of a
1927-S DDR Buffalo nickel. Let me know what you people think

Use a new thread for different coins. It makes it easier when we are trying to search back for a coin. Use date/mint mark/question about your coin.

I don't the curvature of the artifact above the D matches that of an S. AS mentioned the positioning rules out the two currently known OMM's and the curcature difference would tend to indicate that it is not a previously unknown one.

It would probably take a hands on look at it to see if it is raised/how much. It maybe something else. The shape almost looks too small/too curved to be a punching?

I think it's just the texture of the coin's surface. If you look closely, you can see similar marks under the date & in different parts of the field.

to me the D appears to be over a ball serif S mint mark

but then to the left of the vertical line in the D mint mark, seems and I quote " seems ", to have the marking of the 002 variety of this type coin
