I thought so too. Not $30k cool, but cool nonetheless.

I've always thought older uncut sheets were cool but out of my price range.

This sheet was sold in a Heritage auction back in August of 2014 for $11,750. https://currency.ha.com/itm/world-w...tion-071515#

Last month Heritage sold a PCGS graded uncut sheet from this same block in 65 PPQ for $14,100

Very cool sheet, but the price is a little strong.

I've got a funny feeling that the "Make An Offer" would settle for at least 30% less than asking price.

Wow! Quite a price there!

There is an antique store not far from me. I walked in there one day to see if they had any coins. Unfortunately they didn't, but they did say they had uncut sheets of "old" US $1 bills. I don't collect notes so I said I wasn't interested, but seeing this makes me think I should go back and see what they are asking for them.

Indeed a beautiful thing to behold, but they are not unknown, and this price seems somewhat opportunistic. Saying that, I have done no research.

The FC block was printed to provide souvenirs. This is why they exist in sheets and the number of UNC notes is high given its limited printing of 12,000.

lettow - Thanks for this info, I was unaware of that. Works out to 750 16-note sheets, is that right?

Good to know, lettow - thanks. That begs the question... is there a site out there similar to uspapermony.net that provides similar info for notes prior to 1950?

Good question. Even Schwartz and Lindquist do not mention these souvenir sheets.

In this case these were printed as 12-notes per sheet. 1,000 sheets of 12 = 12,000 total.

Got it, thanks. The seller mistakenly lists it as a 16-note sheet.

Wouldn't that look nice framed in your study?

One day I hope to be able to seriously consider a 30k purchase for my hobby but that's going to have to wait for now.

Very interesting sheet ... it would look great in a
collection of small notes ...

The shipping cost does make it tempting ... $1.99 economy shipping
