40-45 somewhere around there. Could be your pics but I see a lot of fresh copper on the high points.

Thanks all for the grades. I somehow won this one for $2.99 (not including shipping) from a seller with only 1 feedback. It was a bad picture and the title had no description what the coin's condition would be. However, it turned out great!

By the way, what does "fresh copper" mean Raymo? Is it glinting red spots on where the coin has wear?

The pinkish high spots should be brown like the rest of the coin.

I see seperation between the lower curl and the band with the dimonds. I'd give it a strong XF-40 and any TPG would give it an XF-45 grade. Nice coin.

Yes, there is some pink on the top serif of the last "S" in States, some over Liberty's eye, some on the tips of the feathers, and some on the ribbon. I don't know what causes it, but I've seem notice it on some of my Indian cents.

Btw, thanks all for the thoughtful grades. To me, this coin is is an XF-45, but with all the XF-40's that came in, I guess I'll have to look at it a little more conservatively. Sadly, this coin is going on ebay in order to get some holiday spending money for some other coins I have been wanting for a while. Can't keep them all I guess.

You found it I got an offer for 18$ this morning, and I countered for 28, but no deal was made.
