Mine was technically a 1964D Dan Carr Over-strike Fantasy Morgan dollar. If you want actual coins, it was some junk silver :P I have more ending this weekend!

Just an interesting look at the market. We have a "Post most recent acquisition", I thought this would be fun. I am curious as to what is moving in the marketplace.
So if you were to look at what has been acquired, would that not give you an idea as to what is moving in the marketplace? And if even 20 people replied to your post with their sales, is that a large enough sample to give you an idea as to what is moving in the marketplace?

Nevertheless, perhaps a seller does have a slightly different perspective than collector. The collector's latest acquisition is his pride & joy, The seller's might be," can you believe someone wanted one of those?, or Hey,you sold one of those & I have a box full of them around here somewhere. My neighbor sells cars, I often ask what he sold that day. Sometimes it's a Corvette , sometimes, nothing. Maybe I should switch to decaf. As today progressed, I sold 2 Mexican pesos, a 1970 & a '79. After that , a Danish Krone from 1926.

@edweather - why do you think I am being harsh? I never said it is a bad topic, just wanted to understand the purpose. So maybe you are the one in need of chilling?

I find it hard to sell any coin that I've collected but I think that your topic has merit and is an interesting read ... so I guess it does have a purpose!

I just found this topic and only recently have gotten into selling coins even though I've sold on ebay for some time. This one was an expirement in error coins and ended up going for $6.75+shipping. I'm pretty pleased with that. I listed another tonight that's a world coin experiment.

Good thread imo, I am in the process of selling about 80 coins from my collection on a local site. I have them for about 30 years and its time to thin them out.

Japanese 1886 Yen, XF/AU. Pretty nice, we almost sent it in to be slabbed before it was purchased. $350 on ebay
