There is one being advertised on our local 'online classifieds' for $175. I guess it's pretty soft market when people are 2nd selling on the classifieds.  Edited by Dcadon

The people try to sell locally to maximize the profit not to deal with the shipping. Sure, CAD 175 is too much, but CAD 150 cash will be acceptable sale for both sides. there are really a lot of offers on ebay. The Top World Coin, and two dealers from Poland continuously re-list the coin. |

Meanwhile, when new March RCM release is being spoken at every corner, no much news about 2017 Pysanka coin. Some people sell, without being excited from the sales, some people prefer to keep till the best times. Anyway, keeping in mind, that the listeners aren't only friends, people try not to share their selling techniques. As of Monday February 27 the Pysanka coin will be next to forgotten as the New releases will be out for the upper tier members.

Interestingly, the Pysanka is listed on the RCM site as "awaiting stock" and not sold out. |

I agree that Pysanka is bit different thing, not like "casual popular coin" (cause it has appeal for Ukranian and probably other East Europe collectors)
But it will will be forgotten just like any 2-nd coin in popular series :)

A bit 'gimmiky'.
The Royal Australian Mint is capable of this sort of marketing as well. Best termed exonumia.
That does not have any bearing on it's investment value.
If only a tiny number made, then should do quite well from an investment point of view.

With the celebration of Easter, Passover and other similar holidays people not much commenting these days. So, I remembered 2017 Pysanka coin and checked the ebay sales. Well...... As majority predicted, sale price dies slowly. CAD 130-135 in average on ebay. The topic was hot during the release period. Now the buyers in rush to buy, neither the sellers trying to get more. We literally rolled to the new coin adventures.... |
