PR67 DC
But it still looks like a SP strike to me.

For those that know me, I'll call it "bright and shiny".

Originally graded in a CCCS hard slab as SP-65 Heavy Cameo... I think the coin is better suited in its new holder: http://www.PCGS.com/cert/29926600Quote: But it still looks like a SP strike to me. It _is_ a specimen strike. Yet by US grading standards, being struck early by new dies resulting in a strong cameo, this coin is graded as a proof strike. It is not unique to the series as well, 25 coins have been graded as Proof - Deep Cameo (PRDC) for this silver dollar alone by PCGS. http://www.PCGS.com/pop/PCGSnolooku...=174602&g=67Tied with five others, as the finest PCGS 1967 PRDC silver dollar. Regardless, the eye-appeal is what caught my eye with this coin. I love it... I don't collect silver dollars but I am really torn whether I should keep it or sell it...

Looking at the PCGS population report it appears that PCGS calls all 1967 SP dollars (Canadian grading standards) as Proofs regardless of cameo or non-cameo status.Very nice coin.

This hobby is all about opinion and perspective. Here is the budget conscious collector's version of the same coin. All marks are on the holder not the coin. In my opinion it would easily cross as PR67DC at PCGS. All in it cost me less than the price of a single coin submission to PCGS. From my perspective it's good that my ego is in line with my budget.

That's a really nice coin you have DBM.
What really boggles me is how some coins can cross grade and come back two or three points higher. Which grader, the first (CCCS) or the second(PCGS) was out partying the night before or was suffering from eye strain? Super nice coin Roger! Have to love those Heavy Cameo's !
