Not mint state batboy, you can see a small bit of wear on the shield on the reverse, AU-55

i have it at AU55 also. some weakness in strike on the obverse is being attributed to wear. I think the scratches on the cheek and neck area, lack of luster and discoloration around the date area would keep it from AU58. you also have a small rim hit at 1 o'clock on the revers

au50. Not a fan of the prominent marks on jawline and fields well hidden in original pics.

Thanks all. After some soul searching and navel contemplation I decided to pass on this coin. But, the other two little Indians I bought from the seller are super nice. I also just won an auction for different 1908 IHC (slabbed MS-63BN).

The second set of photos altered my opinion. The piece is not better than AU, probably the lower end of the AU grade given the marks.

The coins been messed with. You did good by passing, unless you could get it for ten bucks or so.
