65. Exceptionally clean cheek and fields. Luster can be muted with pics. But I'm staying with my initial thoughts at 65

MS-65, agree that luster might be suppressed by the lighting.

MS64. the overall look of the coin is a little too dull and luster appears to be broken in areas which for me would keep it from 65

Borderline of 64/65. I think the strike will hold it back a bit for the date and mint mark so I'll say 64+.

64. 1880 S is another date/mm that have exceptionally struck coins available in the population that also drip luster/cartwheel.

Luster is little bit better than in pictures. That being said I made a mistake when buying this coin. On seller pictures I noticed weaker luster and somewhat weaker strike but I hoped it was just pictures. Grade on slab was too tempting. "Buy the coin not the slab" is a good rule to follow. And here is grade.

If the luster is better than the pics then I'm sure you did fine. Many buyers will only look at the number on the slab and we're only looking at pictures. PCGS put it in a Secure Plus 66 holder so enjoy it. It's a very nice coin.
