I originally ordered this subscription series with CC&C until I took a good look at the packaging. I am so sick and tired of the RCM cutting corners. How can they distribute this gorgeous coin with a maroon clamshell and a black sleeve? Shame, shame on them.

I know I sound repetitive; however, I am now a firm believer that the packaging of special coins is extremely important. The artwork of these 3 coins should be displayed on a graphic beauty box that encases these awesome coins.

I ended up cancelling my order. People need to stop buying from them on this basis and just maybe the RCM will awaken to what all world mints are doing with their special packaging.

This is a stunning coin.

Price is coming down a bit - here's a new listing approx. $200 over issue price:

It will go quickly.

If you mean the coins won't go below issue price, then yes for now.

There have been relatively few sold on ebay. Most sold between $1000 and $1200. After all the fees, you end up with a small premium or break even.

A year from now, who knows. Probably will hold their value. Just don't expect any big premium.

I think this coin will hold its value...

I missed or tossed the emails from my rep. (who left the RCM BTW) so I missed the boat on that one.

This is a true classic.

Rest in Peace

I still can't imagine spending $2700 on 30 ounces of silver and all they provide is those usual maroon clam shell boxes. For that kind of money, couldn't a beautiful case be made for them? Say the Master's Club Cases - modified for the 3 x 10 ounce coins?

Would have loved to order this set, but finances insist on paying off the winter renovations first.

Maybe the problem isn't that we're not getting enough glory packaging for the bucks we're shelling out, but that the vendor lacks confidence in their clientele's willingness to pay a premium for the premium product the premium packaging of said product is self-evidently an emblem of? I don't know. But my guess --my rough guess-- is we will have to pay more. And happily. That should do it.https://www.theatlantic.com/busines...lism/524943/

The coin sold at auction yesterday for $764.00. After fees and shipping, I would say that total cost would be close to issue price. The winning bidder was lucky.

Bromberg has been saying on TSC that the RCM coin is selling for $1,700 trying to push his medals of this design.

Yes, it sure looks like he's pushing his medals. He's funny. You can buy one on ebay for $1,300.

CC&C is showing this coin as sold. Price was $1,694.95. I don't believe it sold for that.

You right - the data for the sold items, they can manipulate it as they want, as soon as it not goes to reports and serves only as visual representation of history/archive.

I was surprised to see the three-coin subscription is still available at the issue price of $899.95 per coin at Canadian C&C.

If you purchase them individually, the prices are much higher.

I'm particularly interested in the first and the third one.

@yesOrNo, it was a commissioned coin set by Bromberg, that is why they had lots of them.
