Alright, finally, I have photos. After 2 1/2 weeks and many boxes of popcorn devoured in anticipation by the audience... Here they are: Not a "Spitting Liberty". And for the scratch on the reverse. As described, one 1889 CC in AU-MS (60 at highest IMO) After reviewing a few articles on VAMworld, I believe it is genuine and may be a VAM 2. Although I don't see doubling on the "1". I will leave that for the more knowledgeable collectors here. The owner is considering having the coin graded and auctioned on Heritage too. I apologize for the delay, some unavoidable things happened, but here it is. Comment away please and I will answer anything I can except details of the coin's location. I also placed the coin in an Air-Tite after the photos.

I hope it's real, looks really well faked if not. only thing that stands out is the two stares appear different sizes on reverse. Is this normal? No expert by any means...just my observation, wouldn't know what else to look for. Back to PC...

I'm certainly not a Morgan expert but, it looks good to me. I can add that it is definitely not MS. Most likely, it will get a details grade. Still pretty awesome if real!

Looks good to me, but I am not a Morgan guy. Will have to wait to see the consensus.

Also looks like there's tool marks on the first C on the mint mark.

Im not too sure, but what would worry me are the denticles above and below liberty, they are very uneven and look odd to me

Thanks to all who commented. My two main goals were to share this awesome find and try to verify it's authenticity to some degree. I will pass the information along. Should I post the images on the Morgan VAM board, or just a link here?
