Thanks , not looking to have graded. Just thinking about the set versus just the ASE coin.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the Mint Proof silver set , the quarters are not silver ?
I collect ASE's , which really this is all unless the quarters in the first set are silver.
Plus with the first time the ASE 2017 S was released it sold out so where do the ASE come from for this new set thats coming in Oct ?

Quarters in the Silver Proof set are....silver and also available separately in their own set

The Congrats set that contained the S ASE sold out (product limit). The 2017-S can (and will) show up in the LE set...mintage TBD

The market price for the 2017-S proof ASE which has a current mintage of 75k is obviously being held down by the anticipation of 50k more hitting the market. Right now there are actually 5k fewer 2017-S proof ASE's than 1995-W proof ASE's (which typically sell for over $3,000 each). The question at this point is how many of the 2017 LESPS will be made. I don't see 50k sets being sold given the current price of the 2017-S proof ASE in the Congratulations set. Then again, the mint might produce 50k sets anyway, which means that they could be for sale until they all sell out. Or, the mint might only produce 25k sets to start with and plan on producing more if there's enough demand. This will be my most watched set that I never buy.

We shall see but if they limit sales to 50k they will most definitely sell out...in a short period of time. If they add a HH limit it will stretch out a bit longer.

75k...maybe....

100k...nope

...and I agree the Congrats S sale price is definitely in limbo waiting for the LE set mintage announcement. If holding a 2017 S right now I would NOT sell yet...wait a month. 50k won't hurt and has been factored in already...

I really didn't want to buy the LESPS set this year, but I do "need" that S-Proof for my ASE collection. If the issue price is ~140, I'll just get the set and have the extra silver for a few bucks more than 2ndary market of the Congrats set.

I already have all the coins that would be in this set so I can't think of any reason to get one.........so far. I get Proof and Unc ASE's and the silver proof sets each year. I don't own one LE silver set.

As long as you have the 2017-S you are good to go. Quite a few did not get that offering

Yes Sir, lucky enough to get two of them on that fateful day that hopes and dreams were shattered. As far as I know I will be keeping both in the OGP.

And the Congrats sets are listed for $130-$160 in BIN auctions. Easy call for me -- LESPS, here I come.

I saw three ANACS 69's go for $82-96 in the last couple of days if you just want the S

The raw packaged S is in the $120 range as mentioned

They were busy last night. Limits listed for this and the medal set:

Quote:
Item Number: 17RC
Mintage Limit: None
Product Limit: 50,000
Household Order Limit: 2

This is what was assumed right from the get go but the uncertainty held back the value of the Congrats S...now all the pieces are in the puzzle.

I think this is going to be a really quick seller. There is already pre-order on ebay... $240...

And 2 of the 3 available have already sold at that price. Yikes.

So this brings the total mintage of the S-Proof to 125k, which I would imagine makes this a semi-key.

As is the green light for my credit card on this one.
