In this case, "MS 64" means MiSsing 64% of the details.

Well it might have been at one time......
MS-64 thst is, not NGC MS-64. I don't think it was anywhere near MS-64 by the time NGC showed up.

For the record, I messaged the seller on the off chance they have no idea what either "NGC" or "MS-64" means. Stranger things have happened. We'll see what comes of it; I'll give him 24 hours. Oh, and TNG, you're a master of understatement.

You're more forgiving than I am. I hate this kind of thing.

There was obviously nothing malicious here. The seller may have even uploaded the wrong photos. I've done it... Not paying attention and in a hurry for what ever reason.

It was meant as a joke or I would have reported it myself, but on a good day, I think I can read the date 1920. There's always the possibility that he had sold another coin recently that was slabbed as NGC MS64 and he didn't pay attention to the title when listed. Isn't there a "Sell one like this" option on ebay too where you get some of the same info in your listing as the one you chose to sell one like it? Heck I don't know, but if he only has 1 coin and only 1 listing, I would think he would catch it by now. I don't give the guy a lot of the benefit of doubt. It's not MS64 more like AG3 in the flip. I would offer a dollar but the shipping puts it at spot.

I did just now, for fun, click on a random slabbed coin and scrolled down and it said "Have one to sell?" So I clicked on sell and sure enough it filled out all the same title as the other guy, graded and all. So I am guessing that is what happened. Needs reported just so we don't have to search through ebay and run across stuff like this with the filters. I often look for coins with filters like AU58 MS63 MS64 etc. and NGC PCGS ANACS and CAC with a certain coin in the search box I want so I can shorten the number of items I will have to look through. Come to think of it, that's just how I found this one.

I also prefer not to assign malice to anything explainable by stupidity, but it bears mentioning that this is the seller's very first auction and they have nothing else listed. Of course, not double-checking one's very first auction is equally stupid....
