Interestingly, it's only been in the last month that I sold many of my high end Newfoundland silver, after sitting in my inventory gathering dust for 2-3 years.

Some nice coins there Devlec.

So many of those beauts are simply out of reach of most collectors (the married ones anyway).

..$340 U.S. , Canadian would be over $400+ not worth it in my opinion.

Anyone know if that ebay seller could possibly be these upstanding business people?

$340 does seem a tad high for those common dates...

But as for the seller, fantastic guys. My solo highest 1859 large cent DP9 No.5 in MS64 was bought from them in an ICCS MS60 holder.

Also got a lot of 1859 repunched 9s, looked to be unsearched with some nice surprises.

They are excellent sellers as the ebay feedback shows.

DEVLEC...you really should be ashamed of yourself, engaging in defamation and slander, someone might pursue that one day if you keep up with that kind of behavior.

True, but the OP's upper bid of $200 Canadian would never buy this lot and seems to me, to be more of a 'stink' bid.

Looks like a fun Newfie lot! Not my cup of tea, but definitely a nice lot for the right person..it does seem prices are getting better..I'm not sure about for nfld as I don't follow that market much, but for Canadian issues over all, things lately have seemed to be on a bit of an upswing!

Oh my! I come back after being gone for a while and I come back to devlec being accused of libel Absolutely rich! Not even sure if you can claim libel in regards to his statements

Shame there aren't any laws about flooding all the recent auctions with overpriced minor varieties! I feel bad for the auctioneers as if any of their bidding base is like I am, they're losing bids cause people are tired of digging through it all when viewing the lots online!
Feel free to call me Will.

In My humble opinion, Newfoundland coins are the perfect example of a semi-scarce collecting area that is highly overlooked. For example the 1946 newfie dime, only about 36,000 made and are still havable for under 10$ in around vf-ef grade. If that was a Canada coin the prices would possibly be 10 times that.
