Sad part is all the kids piggy Banks that they are putting these new coins in there eating them up I just found one to on a 2015 dime it was so bad it ate hole into the center of the dime and that hasn't been that long let alone what its doing to us after touching these coins in change and so one.

@Matthews34

You will probably not get a response, so it would be best to find another image. Concerning zinc rot, you are welcome to use my images here:

@Frosty

Dimes are not affected in the same way, so zinc rot cannot be found on them. They, along with quarters and halves, are CuNi clad, no zinc involved.

If you are using my pics, I prefer not to respond with my full name, but I can link to something that shows the answer. The images in this link are credited to me, so there ya go!

P.S. The pics of zinc rot I took have horrible white balance that makes them look a lot more blue. I can edit them, if you wish, to represent what the coins actually looked like.

If you provide a more HD photo and/or what it really looks like, that would be great!

Anyone have any rusted steel cents you can post that I can use for my book, and include a credit I can give for you?
