Do you plan to go for CC Morgans and the more scarce Morgans like 89CC, 93CC or 93-S? I have five Morgans to go to fill my set but I am considering getting all but the most rare in AU condition. My set is mostly AU-MS64, but AU for the really scarce ones is probably out of the question. I need the 89CC, 93CC, 93-S, 94P and 95-S. Some of these I can get in AU, but certainly not all. How will you afford an 93-S in MS64-66? Is this a dream sheet? So far a great start.

For this set I plan to do just Mint state date (MS64-66+) set. There will be some difficult years (1893-1895). After I'm done with date set I might go for full mint mark set but in that case I'll have to lower my standards quite a bit.

So at this point my master plan is to get full (MS64-66+) date set and after that I'll go for full mint mark set or focus on other ( Mercury dime) set.

Love your date set thus for. Obviously you like Great Collections as a buying source. Less than 2 hours to go right now for my 3 best bids on GC. I love their selection. Sometimes they even beat Heritage.

Yes when I'm buying my Morgan dollars I have to go international since I can't find better grades locally. For international bidding I do use GC/heritage

Now I get you! The 1894-P will hurt in MS64, but that is the only one I see that would smart. Your idea is good. A date set of MS64-66 Morgans would be impressive. I was thinking date/mint set and I was wondering how in the heck you could do it. There are coins like the 1884-S that are not even rare except in MS condition that would cost a mint. I have a date/mint set and I am having a hard time even considering AU prices for some Morgans. There are just a couple that are so far out of sight I will do as Jbuck has suggested and just fill the holes.
