I reaffirm that I am at heart, still a coin collector when I fork out the dough for the few RCM coins that I just gotta have. None that require a battery or special 3D glasses have made their way into my collection though. Not yet.

I think the RCM does a great job and minting circulating coins. I think the US Mint could learning a thing or two from them. But the special collector coins are just way out of hand.

Interesting results . Did not think Option 5 would be that high on the poll. I personally am on the bubble.

Generally you would accept that if you bought any consumer type good it will immediately lose value to the tune of 90%. people come to coins with a underlying assumption of value. I think the RCM mint has destroyed that. They are not ambassadors to the hobby, more like executioners imo.

CCF says: Quote: "It can only go uphill, they have bottomed out" RCM replies: "Hold my beer" and releases this:

Wow! What an ugly...er, I mean interesting (over used clam shell) display case for a starship.

Quote: I mean interesting (over used clam shell) display case for a starship This is very tricky designer's concept, while the ship is 'floating' in the clear capsule, on the black background of the case (symbolizes empty space) and it almost reached the boarder of the clam shell unknown.

Thanks Silveroid for explaining the symbolism...I entirely missed what the RCM was trying to capture and fear I will never rise beyond being anything but a star trek extra. Now newly enlightened. It is a beautiful case, incredible amounts of thought and effort must have went into this masterpiece! :)

How do I get the Mint to stop sending me junk mail? I just throw it straight to the trash. If you guys want that Enterprise model, Walmart sells them for $3.

RCM needs a total shakeup. Mintages too high, too many monthly issues, too many polar bears, elks, bunnies, wolf coins etc.. Prices are ridiculous. For the first time in a monthly release this January 2018, I bought nothing because most of what I have bought is worthless today. It really is a sad state of affairs. RCM sales will be slower than ever this coming year and all due to the huge discounts of most of their coins down the road.

New1954, add to that the fact that they do nothing about the rampant counterfeiting. I see more RCM product counterfeited than any other Mint.
