There is a service that tracks dealers at major shows, but /a/ I don't remember the name and /b/ it's self selected, so only dealers that want to bother listing their inventory do so.
It's independent and has nothing to do with the sponsors.

I think your wasting time and money. My method is to go to small coin shows and sort of ask around for dealers that frequent the same shows. Also, a dealer that does traveling around to other coin shows. I do this and have found several dealers that do travel around to shows in other states. I ask them to look for certain coins for me and they usually do. One dealer I see at many shows makes a list of wants for people and has found some great coins for me at really decent prices. As long as they are traveling around from show to show and since it's their business, I just let them do the searching for me. The main thing is you have to be able to talk to them. To many people just don't want to spend time talking to dealers.

Quote: Is there a mechanism (one-stop-shop) in place to identify the vendors that have this coin without walking around in circles for hours from table-to-table?
Yes, what your asking about is very similar to Collectorscorner.com It is run by the parent company of PCGS and most of the top dealers post their inventory there. There are 9 Washington 1932-D quarters in the MS61-62 range, none in MS-60 but I would discourage you from that grade as it would probably be a coin with problems. At least one of the 61's is a CAC stickered coin which is what you should strive to collect at this range. You can also check out PCGS CoinFacts. They list the coins posted on the collectors corner website for the applicable specific coin and grade when those coins are available.

Quote: The closet you will find for that is looking up the dealers that will be there and checking their websites.
Your best bet will be to just make an email with what you want and send it out to all of them and see what responses you get back. Yes, a little more leg work but I've been beating the bushes and started that process. Quote: I'd honestly strongly consider a 58 over a 60/61 or saving a little more for a 62/63. Unless there is a particular reason for the 60/61 range that's a range most people stay away from now a days. Yes, after hearing the recommendations here, this will be the path I take. To be honest, my motivation for this was/is to keep the entire Dansco MS61 or better. With the exception of two (those are AU58's), the entire album is MS61 or better. The entire album 38-64 has been created from broken out slabs. I'm not a grader or dealer so I don't trust my grading skills. I have pictures of all the coins in their slabs w/ the bar codes in the back of the album.

Quote:But that is half the fun of a coin show! It can be fun but it can be very frustrating as well. I'm trying to stay focused. It's to darn easy for me to get sidetracked at those shows! Go in with something in mind, come out with something else!

I can appreciate that. Focus is good. A plan is better. I hope it works out for you.

All of the major shows publish a list of attending dealers well before the event. You can, as I do, use this list to find and explore the websites of dealers you're unfamiliar with, to see who tends to carry coins in the same category as your interest. Those will be the ones most likely to "accidentally" have what you're looking for. FUN and the World's Fair of Money are about the only shows too large to be completely "done" in one day by a determined collector. I can normally see every table at a Whitman show in about 4-5 hours.
