gnome, Any chance of you parting with one?
I'll swap or buy, whichever you prefer.

That sounds like an intriguing, yet possibly expensive variety?

Here is one I bought some time ago. Was listed as a no mint mark, but feel it is a weak mint mark variety. Has a small dot where the I mm should be, but is damage free in that area at least.

Kurt, I am not sure of the current value as I picked them up a few years ago, from memory they weren't that expensive at the time but are relatively scarce, I believe. There is also a variety where the I's are in different positions, on the obverse. Spedward, yes I have a couple left, not for sale or trade though. Farnbycoins, I believe Triton has info on his page as well.

Nice looking coin there, Farnbycoins, I'll try and get some pics of one of mine for comparison, if you like.

I suppose this is a less visible variety than the 1933/32, reflected by its value? I'm still looking for the 33/32 in bargain bins--who knows maybe I'll get lucky?

You should have less trouble finding a 32/33 OD penny compared to a 42 no I Kurt. Although the 32/33 is much more common (aprox 11% of 1933 mintage), it is well known to collectors, and your right Kurt, seems to attract a much higher premium. The 32/33 with the part of 2 clearly visible in the lower bowl of the 3 is quite difficult to get hold of. I have 7th, 11th, and 13th ed maccas, and only the 7th ed has the 1942 no I values. VG--$5.00 F--$10.00, VF--$20.00 EF--$75.00, aUnc--$225.00 Unc--$600.00, Ch Unc--$950.00 Gem--$1250.00. Compared to 33/32 od at the same time VG--$12.00 F--$35.00, VF--$50.00 EF--$175.00, aUnc--$600.00 Unc--$1000.00, Ch Unc--$1800.00 Gem--$2750.00
