Detail-orientated, genuinity, authentenessity--we could start our own nu-mishmash-tic dictionary!

So the coin is genuine, but the word "genuinity" is not?

I love the box dollar. Some day I will get one if the price is right.

Thanks for all the responses guys! I was just playing around with the word "genuinity"! I knew it was going to evoke some controversy, and also some love by some people who like my neologisms.
I like that opium piece, Exoguy!

I usually don't like coin jewelry, but that box dollar is very cool!

I've owned a few of these box dollars over the years. This one caught my eye, given the inserted photo and engraving, as it better speaks to the real purpose of these so-called "opium dollars." They're true remembrances of the romantic Victorian era, late 1800's. In addition to being repurposed by jewelers, I suspect that many Trade dollars were melted by them, too, as a source of silver. One of these dollars would provide enough metal for a "coin silver" spoon.
