Once upon a time Not too very long ago ! I used to buy coins like these for $2 a pop ....... Ah those were the days. Too bad I sold them all off for $5 apiece ! I thought the buyer was a 'sucker'. But I did use the money to buy some nice 1st century Roman bronze. Still ....... I wish I had kept a few !
And yes by the way these are all almost certainly genuine. I say almost because we can never be 100% sure about everything anymore. Fakes find their way into the most unlikely places. But a reliable seller is your best guarantee.

Really nice coins TNG...Good pick up
I'm in the market for a Gratian and wish I'd seen your final coin..lovely!
They all look genuine to me and I think Paul has enough experience to judge the coins he's selling are genuine especially as he had them in hand..
Congrats on the growing collection..

I see nothing to indicate anything to worry about with any of these coins. To address some of the direct questions on the Trier coin. "the eyes look atypical" - compared to what? How familiar are you with the style of engraving at Trier from this time? There are strong stylistic similarities between Trier and Lugdunum in this period and this eye would not appear out of place at either mint. I have owned in excess of 100 coins of Trier from this period. "and despite it cracked in several places, it looks 100% in pristine condition. How is that even possible? I mean I have a never seen that." The edge cracks are part of the striking process. Nice grade examples are readily available for minimal expense. "Finish looks like it was made yesterday - no pitting Ears too perfect(ears are the first to wear down )" Not unusual at all. Just nice. "A couple cracks between 1 -2 oclock in front side- same exact color as the rest of it " What would you expect them to be? The cracks were created when the coin was struck. It should age in exactly the same way as the rest of the coin. In fact it would be more alarming if they didn't. Here are some of my many Trier coins. Are they ringing the same alarm bells? A nicer Lugdunum

Here in the CCF: LRB's: The ancient collectors' equivalent of LMC's ! One of the best concise references for LRB's: "Late Roman Bronze Coinage" by Carson Hill & Kent, first publ. 1972, Spink $ Son. Covers the period 324 - 496 AD. The book is a reprint of a collection of articles published in the Numismatic Circular, by the authors. Only a slim volume, but packed full of all of the right kind of information. Can be obtained on ebay for around $30, plus shipping. That is not too much to pay. Advised to me to get, when I visited The Department of Coins and Medals (British Museum), many years ago.

Thanks everyone! I am beating my chest here for picking some nice coins and have a sigh of relief this morning. Thanks to the affirmations from the old pros. Glad also because I was smart enough to buy from another established and reputable CCF member. Use that link up top that refreshes with a CCF members single item and ebay image ... or use the link on the left of most every page on CCF. Of course, with any seller you should still check their feedback and I can read a little between the lines. My communication with Paul was excellent. https://www.coincommunity.com/members/ The Constantine era is pretty interesting and affordable. It appears I could learn quite a bit and compile a nice size collection in just that era alone. Those listed above by maridvnvm are beautiful.

Those all look great, Mike! I have one Constantine commemorative, Rome mint. I may have to wait till I'm your age to go any further. That just means you have a big head start on me.

Nice pick ups. I agree, the coins look fine. I've only been collecting for a few years now. One of my first purchases was a NGC certified Constantine- so have a look. Very similar to the condition of your coin. Yes, it's in a body bag, but hey, I was new at the game. sorry for the bad pics
