Quote: For long term storage, I'd like an album that doesn't result in my silver coins turning black? Has anyone used any of these over like 20 years? My oldest Dansco albums are 33 years old as of this past December. All but a few are more than 20 years old. I have no complaints.

One nice thing about Whitman Classic Albums for Mercury dimes is the cover is large enough to add many more pages. In all of my Whitman Albums for Mercury dimes I have two sets. Simply buy the Dime pages and add to the Album. I've been using Whitman Albums for a long, long time and no problems. It is unfortunate that they are made in China though. And actually not really Whitman either since now owned by Harris. Yet so many options are available such as blank pages, blank covers, press on letters/numbers and more.

Dansco has been in that anonymous location forever. I used to drive up and down Jefferson (when the freeway was clogged) going back and forth from USC and the Westside and would see it there. They don't allow walk-ins, everything is by work order only.
It will be interesting to see how much longer they stay in that location. After Metro opened the Expo rail line and LA passed a new slate of density bonuses, that whole corridor down Exposition Blvd and Jefferson Blvd is going to be redeveloped. Developers are now allowed to build more dwelling units than what the underlying zoning allows when a site is in a certain radius of a transit station/hub. These old warehouses are cheap to demolish and located on extraordinarily valuable land.

It arrived today all the way from Martinez, California via Martinez Coin. Jennifer was very helpful, and she even sent me a picture of the SEALED album per my request. The total was $29.99 + $7.00 Priority shipping. I just need to get a 5/8" slipcase for it. Thank you again, chipjones. I'm gonna have a fun night ahead of me sorting and filling!

Nice. Very satisfying seeing a Dansco fill up. In other Dansco news, I just ordered a used Buffalo nickel Dansco off ebay. The older Buffalo albums don't have holes for the 1918/7 overdate and the 3-Legged. I'm planning on using those old pages but placing them in the newer binding I already have. That way, I'll actually have all the holes filled instead of having the overdate and 3-Legged as exceptions.

Just thought I'd provide an update, since I've been looking for page 1 for a while now. I just called the Los Angeles number, and was told they should be available early next year. She said they were supposed to be ready by Christmas but that doesn't look like it's going to happen, but she seemed confident about next year. I said, "so likely early next year", and she concurred.
