I've been collecting large cents and this makes me not want to even start looking at ebay to buy coins. Also, if he is guilty of thieving well over $3000 in coins, I know that here in the states it's a felony. Sounds like between all the sellers and ebay, he doesn't have much chance to not be guilty.

but getting a inter-country subpoena is a lot of work and needs a CO on the Fed lvl stateside. Chances are he'd be tried in the US first then in Canada. The US courts would be more into trying him then the Canadian system which is more tied up then those ear buds in your pocket.

As a general rule ebay is on the side of the buyer. Normand takes advantage of this to pad his wallet. As a buyer you have much less to worry about than sellers. Just remember, if it's too good to be true it might just not be true. If you're not sure, have somebody video the package when you open it to make sure it contains what you ordered in the condition you ordered it. If you get something unexpected then ebay and/or PayPal will make sure you get your money back. If you're returning something as 'not as described' then make sure you video doing up the package and ship with tracking and you will be covered. And take a skim through the feedback of the seller before you buy for any warning flags! But keep in mind there are two sides to every story so look for a pattern of negative/neutral feedbacks, what the seller's response was etc.

Interesting that his accounts were closed. My guess is that he starts selling/buying/ripping off people under a friends name.

Normand has been stealing from sellers for years and has been allowed to operate in ebay's "buyer is usually right" policy. Mr. Saint-Pierre has taken advantage of ebay's allowance of its users to create multiple profiles, which he uses to purchase coins from his competitors and sellers who let their guards down. He has used a small network of local acquaintance's addresses to ship coins making it harder for ebay to isolate him. He is probably a member of this forum and we know he actively reads this thread. I'm assuming he feels its safe to start coming out of hibernation now since he falsely perceives the heat is simmering down.

He may at times act as a 15yrs old in his tauntings but derserves to be criminally prosecuted. Thankfully a group of
coin dealers and sellers are committed to keeping the heat on him everytime he pops up.

Hi everyone. Its been a while. Just letting you know that we haven't forgotten about Normand who has been selling under his ebay id joliette-antiques (among others).https://www.ebay.ca/usr/joliette-antiques

Also seems to be to his old ways:

I'm actually wondering if the other scammer from this thread is somehow connected. I haven't had the time to look into it.

Stay safe everyone.
