I think at this point given the fact we have his name and address, someone who has fallen victim to his scam should call the Sūrete du Quebec (RCMP equivalent in Quebec). This guy is a fraudster.

Quote: This guy is a fraudster. The police will not lay charges and the courts will not convict anyone, unless you can prove that a criminal act (i.e., fraud) had occurred, beyond reasonable doubt. Collectively, between some of you, and Coin Hunter's dealer friend, you may have something, but the police will not do your homework for you. A civil lawsuit might be a better course of action... but that means ponying up for the fees and a good lawyer - which for some of you, you might find yourself asking, "is it worth it?" That is the reality of our legal system...

An honest seller or "scammer buster" would mention that the original coloured and gold plated coins were removed from this 2009 Montreal Canadiens set and replaced by regular coins. Even if one received the set as such, a thoughtful seller would inform potential unaware clients of the switch. 263906005259Coincidence that the 2x switched coins are selling on his other account odovdo123? 263933183777Let's see if by reading this post he changes anything.

I've been collecting large cents and this makes me not want to even start looking at ebay to buy coins. Also, if he is guilty of thieving well over $3000 in coins, I know that here in the states it's a felony. Sounds like between all the sellers and ebay, he doesn't have much chance to not be guilty.

but getting a inter-country subpoena is a lot of work and needs a CO on the Fed lvl stateside. Chances are he'd be tried in the US first then in Canada. The US courts would be more into trying him then the Canadian system which is more tied up then those ear buds in your pocket.

As a general rule ebay is on the side of the buyer. Normand takes advantage of this to pad his wallet. As a buyer you have much less to worry about than sellers. Just remember, if it's too good to be true it might just not be true. If you're not sure, have somebody video the package when you open it to make sure it contains what you ordered in the condition you ordered it. If you get something unexpected then ebay and/or PayPal will make sure you get your money back. If you're returning something as 'not as described' then make sure you video doing up the package and ship with tracking and you will be covered. And take a skim through the feedback of the seller before you buy for any warning flags! But keep in mind there are two sides to every story so look for a pattern of negative/neutral feedbacks, what the seller's response was etc.

Interesting that his accounts were closed. My guess is that he starts selling/buying/ripping off people under a friends name.
