@nickelsearcher hi, I am new to collecting, but ill still take a stab at this picture from what I can see there are a few things that seem off about the coin even when not using catches or small marks (as this often is a way to spot large volumed counterfeits), you can compare with high graded specimens. Another thing is if you were going to sell it as is, then why not first get it graded or have a high res photo? As for the grade ill agree with the grade may be a slightly higher grade on tails mu57 but the obverser side is bad thou looks 40, even with this grainy a photo. thats my 2 cents worth

This isn't a genuine specimen. It's just a harshly cleaned AU - he could drop the last three digits form the price and I still wouldn't buy it.

Many ebay sellers are not capable of taking high-res photo or cannot be bothered.

The coin is misgraded and misrepresented..

You seem to have the magic touch, ebay won't listen to me.

Maybe you could make this rubbish disappear too..
263567162823

263567165604 also fake garbage

His goose coin 263567152699 is also fake, but since China started putting the signature on it, it's hard to prove without coin in hand.

This is fake too 142725965924

The seller of this crap is the same person who was selling the title coin of this topic.

A criminal prosecutor looks for motive and intent, and presents evidence.
Motive and intent are obvious here and the evidence is black and white.
Defendant is guilty.

1915-H-Shilling----Opinion-Please

I hope I'm right with that last one, the 1932 2S, I used only experience and called it bad at a glance.
He sold an identical 1932 a couple of months back.
The very last thing I want to do is accuse an innocent.
I need your opinion there, it's an ugly thing with ridiculous cleaning but I'm only 99.9% sure it's bad.

The duck coin is over 500 dollars and that is a sad situation. The missing initials were the flag/marker for 1967 Goose duds - but China fixed that.

The slab is PCCB. That alone is a red flag to a coin not to touch.
Perhaps ANDA or PCGS need to contact a federal politician and give them an already written amendment to table in parliament that will tighten up the laws around counterfeits and reproductions. At the moment there seems to be nothing done by the law about ebay allowing hundreds of fakes to be passed off as genuine coins or those sellers flogging off the fakes as genuine coins.

Buyer Naivete / inexperience / ignorance ...

ebay is a ghetto, I don't do much there.

I took a quick look just now and seen this:
263613551391

That coin is fake and it's seller is simply an idiot and a human of what I'd consider low character.

I have reported that gank several times but it keeps coming back like a persistent rash, with a never-ending supply of centenary florins, 67 pattern dollars etc blah.

Many high-feedback sellers also sell rubbish and they know it - they will do anything for money. Pathetic really.

I knew that topic title coin was crap after a 2 second look but wanted to see if others here know their stuff.

They will all have their day - one at a time.
