Mine is the Standing Liberty quarter. I have seven mint state examples in my collection. Unfortunately, mine are in my safe deposit box and my bank has been closed for the last two months (drive up service only with the lobby closed) so I can't get to them right now.

Looking to acquire my first classic American coin. I have bought Morgans for family but never kept any myself.

Half Cents would be my favorite classic US coin series. This 1826 C2 is one of my favorites.

Quote: Here are my 11x 1782 8R. Too many? Maybe I have a problem. Enough? Cant wait for more! I'm especially drawn to chopmarked and sea salvaged. 1782 must be a more common date. I've tried searching for 1786, since I was born in 1986, and it's hard to find a nice one in a good price point.

Thanks to the El Cazadore find, that's almost always available as a $110 option. Circulated ones pop up somewhat regularly, and AU-MS come up on the Heritages and other auction houses a couple times a year. So "rare" probably isn't the right word. Of course these are 99% Mexico, Lima, and Potosi. Guatemala is every few years, and I think I've only seen Chile once, ever.

Not many. Four to be exact, that have significant value, and a joy to look at. By that, I mean classic neo classic designs inspired from ancient Greek.
St Gaudens Double Eagle MS-62, Gold dollar type1, AU-50, Walker, MS63. Capped bust Half EF.
I collect mainly ancients and World coins, although I have about 100 U.S. coins, all before 1964. There are lots of other World coins inspired from ancient Greek designs. Humble British Penny is an example, first used on Antoninus Pius (131-161AD) sestertius, depicting Britannia, but inspiration for that goes back to Zeus on the classic Athenian silver tetradrachm, 600 years earlier.
