I just noticed that the "dot" in E PLURBUIS UNUM and QUARTER DOLLAR were removed on the Type II reverse.

Quote: Would you care to see a counterfeit? Is it an actual counterfeit? There are genuine replicas that are made to look like this (worn appearance). They're made in China and disclosed as being a replica/repro piece. I haven't seen one being passed off as the real thing, but maybe yours is different.

Counterfeit may not be the appropriate description, definitely a Chinese fake.

Quote: This one has a connection to the late J.H. Cline. Though it wasn't part of his personal collection, it was purchased by his wife/widow and later sold as part of the "Top Hat Collection." It has a light rose/pink champagne tone to it on both sides, and the pictures don't really do it justice. A very nice example with a interesting pedigree.
