Agreed on the toning, ignore luster looks like it's not original

Looking at this, I will say that it's certainly a most attractive specimen, but without the coin in hand I don't feel confident about offering an opinion as to whether it is uncirculated.

to the CCF!

Based on the pics it looks like AU details cleaned. Toning is probably from the cleaning.

Thanks everyone for the replies, I guess the only way to be sure is to take it to someone that can look at it in hand. Thanks again. Feel free to still post your opinions.

It does look like an AU coin with artificial toning. 1922 Peace dollars are basically bullion unless in high uncirculated so $20 or so is where this coin should be valued.

Yeah, based on the pics it kind of has that glossy stripped-of-luster look to it.

From the images provided, looks like an AU coin with highly questionable toning. As with 1921 Morgans, I'm far more comfortable seeing a 'crackled' appearance to the toning.

AU details

I also agree that the toning is artificial.
Rest in Peace

Looking at those Amazon uploads, it is an XF45, maybe buffed out and lemon juice at 250 degrees for 35 minutes...ATed to death...hope you only paid less than $21 for it, I buy 22 MS's for $22 at auction.

Looks to be artificially toned/colored. Otherwise XF/AU.

Me as well and I do not seek it out either. It would be an acquired taste.
I agree with AU details - artificially toned or not market acceptable depending on individual preferences.
